I'm not part of the Atari scene, and I'm not even pretending to be. I just make things for fun. I understand that people turn Atari programming into an art form by optimizing every byte of code, but I'm not trying to compete with them. The VBXE is inside the Atari, and it doesn't work without it. Because the Atari supports this device, the code is partly Atari code. I don't want to get overly philosophical here—I just want to make a game where a black ship has sex with white ships.
Obviously, VBXE is not Atari, California Access is not Atari, FujiNet and many add-ons are not Atari either. Who cares when we have so much fun with it.
