      This Video shows exaclty, how SID is programmed.

      Dropping the analog filter....

      The three channels have their clear functions.

      RING and SYNC were straight given by pokey.

      That "DUTY" is the Offset of the PWM .... 100 % given by POKEY...

      The real difference to POKEY "Trackers" is that SID can handle all at the same time.

      the only tracker that is going that way is dxRMT....

      And, if you search YT for dxRMT , you'll find a lot stuff... but be aware, there is also experimental stuff :)

      If you compare the results, the dxRMT tunes simply have a cleaner musical flow.

      dxRMT also sets a global timing , so you can get workarounds even in 15kHz to get sharper notes and resulting melodies.




      dxRMT also saves everything in LZSS. So, the sound you produce in the tracker is 99,99 % original to the real thing.

      The sad point here is that dxRMT is "alpha".... even if named "beta" ...
      Creating instruments is a horrid part, as the software crashes on and on.

      What with the bass? can dxRMT play the bass better than RMT?

      Not sure, what you mean with "better bass" . Particular the shown tune has clean basses as it is based on 15kHz.
      dxRMT is able to bring high notes better to the real frequency.
      People mostly get misleaded by "Pokey tunes" that either use two POKEYs and/or high CPU consumption.

      RMT can use different settings. So one setting is taken from RMT1.34, which has a much broader notation correctness, even with other generators than "A".

      The bad part is that dxRMT doesn't support 2-tone and other POKEY settings correctly.


      Here are two examples:


      This one is played in RMT 1.31 and using 2-Tone plus Filter PWM .... (I should re record it, as the volume is too low) ....





      Other POKEY settings ... (but PWM isn't good supported in RMT 1.34... resulting in cancelled sounds ....)

      This could run in games like Street Fighter II or even Barbarian, including Digis.





      The main difference is that dXRMT can do instrument manipulations and musical FX at the same time.
      No other tracker can do that.

      czy ten cały Rensoup żyje? nie można tego dXRMT w końcu upublicznić? tak samo Konop miał w końcu puścić ten swój player z edytorem, nawet była chyba nowinka w temacie ;)

      oprogramowanie krąży nieoficjalnie ale oficjalnie mimo lat go nie ma - wyższa forma bytu :]

      @zbyti I don't know what happened to @rensoupp for real.
      But he really was pissed by the trolls @ AtariAge.
      A "certain" Post by one of the biggest and lamest trolls at AA , he was giving a certain answer and never has been seen in any later thread. Even on the dedicated "Discord" channel, he never added any new post ....

      @emkay według takich ludzi jak Rensoup to ja jestem trollem bo uważałem, że to nie problem iż pewien gość wydał PoP pod pozorem sprzedaży carta, zważywszy, że on jako koder nie może ;)

      Ty sam uchodziłeś na AA za DUŻEGO trolla i masz tam bana, a przypomnę, że nim zostałeś współautorem PoP (SFX) to pamiętam, że długi czas pisałeś, że PoP się nie da zrobić na A8, zwłaszcza, nie wierzyłeś, iż da się zrobić dobrego maskowanie postaci.

      tak, że... niektórzy ludzie - bardzo zdolni - są wybitnie neurotyczni, ale zbyt długie oglądanie się na ich fanaberie niczemu nie służy, zwłaszcza, że i tak w końcu wszyscy pomrzemy ;P

      @zbyti You put the truth 180degrees round.
      What @rensoupp did, was 100 % what I was proposing. It was wrong in the way they proposed it in an other thread, where they tried to convert the C64 version. I always told that it is nuts to do that and to create a version with 8 bit graphics. The BBC version was born that way, so rensoupp had a real base to work on.
      I was named "troll" by Idiots at AA. You see "Vega" and particular "Playsoft" doing stuff, I was proposing...."lower resolution with nice animations is better than stiff high resolution" ... (Wee Ninja) ....
